Hello!

I'm just wondering if there are any homebrew apps that allows you to enter and count calories that you've eaten.
Or if someone can develope one? would be nice

yeah sort of, and maybe a built in database with different meals in it, and the ability to add meals and breads and stuff.

so you can choose that i had 2 pieces of that bread for breakfast., and then it adds that to your daily ammont of calories.

but yeah, pretty much a calculator with save/load functions. maybe some more...
i'll type later when i come up with some ideas.

i wonder how you can add calories based on looks.. i would somewhat like this as well o.o

based on looks? :S

a built-in BMI counter and exercise thingy that substracts calories after the amount of training and intensitivity.
somewhat of a suggestion function that can suggest what you can eat if you have like 200kcal left would be cool too

There are some sites that have a giant database of foods and the calories they have. (i.e.: weightwatchers, but i think you need to pay).
IF you could pop that onto the calculation and touch screen categories until you select exactly what you ate, this would be awesome.

This would probably be relatively easy to put together, but my lack of programming skills hinders me from pursuing it.

I'm sure one of the many amazing programmers here on GBAtemp will make one eventually.

I believe Nutridata is one of the biggest and most resourceful (not to mention free) databases covering everything from almonds (mmm) to zuchini (not so mmm). If you really want to track calories, I don't think the DS would be the best way to go. And tracking calories doesn't really lead anywhere unless you're cutting up for a competition. Just portion control people!
