This is why I want to learn to code. Projects like this sound like so much fun to be a part of.

It is also why I am constantly doubting and wondering which language I should be learning first. Learning Python, but I don't see it being used much. I just know it is a good entry point. >.>

Good luck on finding help though :)

Hi, yes being a part of a project (or my case leading them) are super fun!

I would recommend starting with something simple like JavaScript or C# to get a basic understanding of how object orientated programming works then move on to C/C++ etc. Or you could always go the web developer route and start by learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript then move over to a lower level language :)

Huge good luck! I have learnt some PHP and could possibly build something but I don't think I know enough to do, well, most things (worst sentence ever...)
But good luck to you! Hope it works out!

I know a bit of CSS, and a bit of HTML. Maybe I could jump into that. I now know a bit of Python so maybe I will continue it, at least until I know the basics. It's just a little ugly, so less motivation to work on it.
Thanks for the pointers :)

Even though you revealed exactly jack shit about the project, you still got me interested. Good marketing right here :P

Couldn't possibly help you, due to the lack of time/skills, but good luck on your ventures, good sir :D

So work, not unreasonably skilled work either, without pay for a cut of some earlier profits of a web company formed in 2015.... I have done worse but that was only because I have worked with the people before and money is boring anyway.

I look forward to the thread next year when an open source version appears.

Its not the paying itself that I'm pushing, its the idea behind the project. I believe that if the idea is good enough (which it is otherwise i wouldn't be here) it should pretty much sell itself :)
Do you have a way of preventing other companies from stealing the idea and making a better/more popular version?

If an idea shared (but not a lot of it) on a forum is enough to get someone excited then at very best you have found someone in the three months between gaining enough skills to be dangerous and becoming jaded with this sort of idea.

You reckon your software product will end up being able to be patented?

That is an impressive feat in Europe.
