Gaming C.O.R.E

C.O.R.E was released today (US version). Have anyone tried it? Looking at the reviews on Wikipedia, I think it is another nice FPS game.

awesome can't wait, it's funny because I've been playing Quake 2 DS recently and I'm pretty far into the game. It was really slow at first but then I overclocked my RAM pack and now it plays fine. It's a good game but there really is no precision with the aiming because it's done with the D-pad and felt really clunky after playing COD5, all I'm saying is thank God the DS has a touch screen.

I have to agree with @Xylez on this. Nintendo showed what was capable with the DS with Metroid Hunters(controls), but just about any other console/handheld does FPS better than the DS. Then again, there is nothing wrong with bringing out a FPS for the DS, C.O.R.E may well be the best the DS has to offer.

We're not sure it actually got released. This thing has gone through about 4 release dates already. With them posting a new gameplay video yesterday, I don't think it's actually out today.

Well after searching major retailers online, calling several local stores (Both the big guys like gamestop and little mom and pops shops), no one has even heard of this game. Gamestop has ABSOLUTELY no data on this game at all. It's obvious the press has been getting looks at it, but it's pretty irritating that this game has blown through ANOTHER release date with no information what-so-ever.

They said "stick to the PC" in the 90's and look what happened.

For me its the developers at fault not the platform.

Shooters do indeed work on the DS. They didn't work on the GBA, but they work on the DS just fine. Never get to the level of a PC/Ps3/360 shooter, but the games can still be fun.

If anyone cares, I emailed the publisher to find out what's up. Haven't heard back yet; which I hope is just due to it being the holidays. It would be nice to get some ACTUAL information about this game.

PC would be the best due to the precision you get with the mouse, but I hate using two analogue sticks in a FPS, there's no precision at all (even in highest sensitivity) but at least it's better than the d-pad which is terrible

I tried forgetting, but it wouldn't work. Went out, got my first proper gaming PC, back then a 680i SLi Mobo and 2 XFX 8800 GTX's were great, and now ive been upgrading and building ever since. Anyway, as for Core, i think you should just wait for it to be dumped. If it was released then maybe in 2 days or so it will be out

Normally i'd agree, but i wouldn't say that Doom 1 and 2 and Duke Nukem for the GBA was bad games. At least they are easier on the hand when playing compared to the DS ones. Just my opinion though.

What's the gameplay like? Is it tap to shoot (as in Dementium) or shoulder buttons?
