Hi All!

I want to develop a homebrew to control drone, cause in my opinion Switch is a perfect fit for that. But an unexpected problem occurred when I tried to connect to drone's WiFi LAN. Switch doesn't allow to connect to a hotspot which don't have access to Internet :(

Is there any solution to bypass that cursed connection test? Ideally, I want to connect to a hotspot by using only libnx without user involvement.
Thank you

You need setup DNS server and http server (maybe telnet server will work too) in your local network (drone's network :)). Set this DNS in switch wi-fi settings manually. At DNS server redirect query for nasc.nintendowifi.net and ctest.cdn.nintendo.net to your local http server ip. Create any html page (even blank) in http server root directory.
After this you should able connect to local hotspot (last tested in 6.0.1).

My english is not very good, sorry for this.

in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
