I posted a topic about this early in the week, and I may have not given enough information.

Ever since modding my Wii, everything goes smoothly except for the buzzing when a game starts up. It doesn't do it for the VC games or the WiiWare. Only when a disk, backup or original is put in. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when I hit the Wii on the side after the game starts up.

My guess is that when I was pushing in the WiiClip, that I pressed too hard and bent the drive a little much.

My questions are:

1) Should I open back up my Wii and figure it out?
2) Is it the laser or the disc that is making the noise?

1) I would recommend taking your Wii to a professional instead of opening it back up.
2) It's definitely the disc that's making the noise.

Did you trying placing the Wii on its side instead of keeping it upright? That might help with the noise. Also don't hit the Wii on its side to get rid of the noise. Since the disc is spinning at a high speed you could do some real damage inside.

1.try a real game and see if it buzzes
then you know if its the disk
2.thump it on the side
3.put it on its side

Wasn't there a thread about dvd drive noises/buzzes and it turned out that if you tightened up 2 of the screws on the drive it basically silences it again?
