Would brutal doom be possible on the switch switch? I know that the switch has powerful hardware but would it be possible to run it on the switch by any chance?

Zdoom hasn't even been rewritten yet in the libretro API. That would need to be the first step.
edit:
To answer the question at hand however I do think the switch is more than powerful enough to run Zdoom it's just a matter of getting an optimized port. I've been hoping for a zdoom libretro port in general for a while because as nice as prboom is, you can't beat playing brutal doom.

you could run it on switch linux as theres a debian port of gzdoom

(never tried myself btw don't know if switch linux is debian just assuming xd)

I think any Linux can be ported to the switch too since fail0ver released a Linux kernel which is required to compile each OS.

Also just putting the general Linux switch warning every Linux OS, due to faulty kernel, has battery desync issues and sound not supported.

Yeah I figured that, but I meant would it be possible on the hardware.
Also I suppose if one were to run linux, it would probably be able to run.

That's a good idea, I actually didn't think of it. Also you don't need to use the debian port. The windows version works really well if you use wine.
