Hacking Broken SD-Card, briked Wii U

Hi there.

Today I tried to transfer some saves with SaveMii, but I am afraid that my SD-card is broken now (Windows PC shows that it's not formatted). Tried to restore the card without effort. The Wii starts in the Autobot screen, without SD-Card it shows -3 after trying to boot mocha, with inserted SD-card it shows -4.

It's been some years ago that I made this Wii U stuff (only put some new games on it in the meantime), so I have no idea which files I have to put on the (new) SD-card to make it boot up again with mocha.

Maybe someone could give me some hints what to do now to bring the Wii U back to life with mocha? Thanks .

Looks like u have cold boot haxchi installed

change auto boot to system menu

don’t know why u would want mocha when have haxchi installed

to boot into mocha again (if you want), just put wiiu/apps/mocha and its files in there. should be an elf and a config file iirc.

Okay, thanks to all, that worked, but I have to reinstall all games, there is a "Nintando ID was deleted" error message with all games taht are installed, after reinstalling it works fine.

Mocha has more complete features, such as the ability to run SDGecko. CBHC's built-in CFW is less feature complete.

There is a niche use case.
