There's not much info about fixing a N2DSXL top lcd. There are youtube videos by H H but the ratings aren't that great.

ifixit teardown:

You have a good chance of cracking the outer glass panel if you try to remove the top lcd because it's infused like how Apple makes their iDevices. Replacement parts are probably next to impossible to come by.

If you get another 3DS later, don't buy a N2DSXL. Top screen is too fragile because of the thin back support. Not enough rigidity.

Good luck finding parts atm. Bad time to break a 2dsxl
Hi guys, i am currently looking for replacement parts (LCD) for the N2DSXL and i have the same problem.
Whats the deal with the LCD, because there are NON available, even on Aliexpress/alibaba/Dhgate, i can find every other part, even the lower screen but not the upper one.

Does someone knows whats the deal with it?

Cheers

LCD manufacturers do not want to produce the N2DSXL upper, top LCD screen for aftermarket sale because of the fused outer glass panel. It's too cost prohibitive for them at this moment to sell both pieces pre-assembled because of the need a clean room to make sure they're dust-free. You basically can't change out the top LCD without breaking that panel.

You'll have to wait until Nintendo starts discontinuing N2DSXL production, and the cancelled back order LCD+glass panel sets make their way to those online outlets.

Thanks for the answer, it's really sad news, i have one of those pokeballs N2DSXL with broken LCD. No luck i think i will sell it for the best and buy a N3DsXl
