Naruto is awful, poor animation, flashbacks (reused animation), terrible filler, I don't understand how people could put themselves through watching it.

The manga's a lot better than the anime.. Naruto's the only manga I read up to this point. I sort of lost interest in anime 2 years ago.

It's my favorite anime and I realized I made a huge generalization. Basically that stands for most anime that started out as a Jump manga. Another good example would be Full Metal Alchemist in which both the anime and the manga are fantastic. I'm not saying there isn't good anime which my post kind of implied.
