The New 3DS XL I have has been bricked for more than a year now. I tried using the flashcart method [the one with the switch] and it booted up to the menu. After that I did switch the boot.firm with the Original that sthetix provided. It just booted back to the menu. So I tried uninstalling the hax and trying again. Now all it does is turn on and stay on without the screens. Is this unrecoverable? - Thx in advance and happy free comic book day!

Pablo, sthetix is a YTber that has great tutorial videos. What do you mean that I eventually have to do a ctrtransfer? Can you explain in more detail.

Oh I see who he is right now, the name sounded familiar. Anyway just follow the guide, once you reach the point when you boot luma3ds for the first time it will probably don't work. In any case keep following the guide and keep me updated when you encounter any problems.

regarding the "bricked" 3ds, read this part of the guide, scroll down to the "black screen on sysnand boot" section

...wait, you said you uninstalled hax? did you just delete Luma's stuff or uninstall hacks completely? as in no more a9lh or b9s

https://3ds.hacks.guide

follow this guide if you truly wanna hack your other 3ds

It's normal for it to boot into the menu, that's what Luma does. Maybe you accidentally skipped the config the first time and that's why the config didn't show up like it's supposed to.
How exactly did you "uninstall" the hax? Just deleting the files from the SD won't uninstall anything and may leave you with a 3DS that doesn't boot since the boot.firm is required to boot.
Try putting the latest Luma3DS boot.firm on the SD, hold select on power on and see if the config appears.

....deleting hacks NEVER SOLVES ANYTHING. That was a mistake ._.

afaik you can't fix the thing. You can hack the other one, but don't do anything rash!

No matter how “good” a video tutorial is, don’t follow it. They get outdated very quickly. Text guides are the way to do it. Alternatively you can use the InScripted AIO, not sure if that has clean CTRTRANSFERs on it.
