Thought I'd give a heads up to anybody considering a buy. It's a semi-rigid design and it looks great, but functionally it's 100% a disappointment. One wide velcro strap is there to hold the Switch in place, but the case is too large. Even with the joy cons attached, Switch has room to slide side to side AND up and down. Doesn't feel secure at all. Additionally, the cartridge pockets are lined with the same felt-like fabric as the rest of the case's insides, meaning you'd probably end up with a bunch of fibers stuck in your cartridge pins which would eventually make them unreadable.

I don't know if Nintendo gave the manufacturer the wrong specs for the console or this case was designed for an earlier revision or what, but I doubt I'll be using this for my carrying case. At least, not without some modification.

Oh well.
I got the bundle coming monday. I dont care for the colors of the case but got the bundle to have everything. Will probably get a nice hard case later on down the road if i ever take the switch somewhere

Thumb to show the gap size between the top of the case and Switch. The gap on the side is even larger. I'm not saying I think it slides around, it DOES slide around with even the slightest tilt, with or without the velcro strap on.

I mentioned before but that Sheikah Case is for showing off at rooftop parties and skate parks like in the commercials, not for daily grunt use.

Well it's a good thing I skate and go to rooftop parties all the time then, as we gamers are all known to do.

Fortunately it seems my local Target may have one or two of the case I want in stock. Suppose I should shave and shower before I go get it, been up all night with Switch hype. :yayswitch:

If I get another case then it'll probably be this one: https://www.amazon.com/Industries-Nintendo-Switch-Traveler-Deluxe-Travel/dp/B01MY9JB2U/

I like the colors and the design, especially with the plastic game/microSD cases that slot in underneath Switch. Although I may have already created a ghetto solution to the SE case size problem...managed to cut out some foam inserts to the perfect size.

This is the case I just picked up, works perfectly. I'd still call it semi rigid, but the switch shiuld

I just bought this case and so far it's great. I'd prefer a case like this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XK623WO hard as a brick. The case you are looking at works great and actually fits the switch.

Yup. Amazing that this $20 case is designed with much higher quality than the case that came with the $100 BotW SE. Has a back insert with cutouts for the joy con triggers, so it fits absolutely perfectly into place. The accessories pouch is smaller, but I only need it to fit my SPC cable and earphones. Love the hard plastic cart/mSD cases, no reason not to include a couple when they're this small. Nintendo should've had RDS do the the SE case.

I was debating between the Zelda one and the Official. Zelda one is soft, but has game pouches to hold 14 games on it's own. I don't fear for the contacts. The Switch sits in a pouch which is loose but unless you're sticking other things in the pouch with it, not a big deal. I'm also able to fit the JoyCon rails int the case too. Overall, nice.

The standard case is hard material, has a flap that flips over the screen to protect it and comes with nifty game card cases (which includes two microSD card cases, each able to hold 2 cards). No screen protector in either of them.

In the end I chose the Zelda one. It was cheaper, integrated game holders, held the rails and in the end, I don't use the case for protection (I have a protection plan for that) I use it to carry the console around, so it does what I need it to.

I got the blue BOTW RDS case. The switch fits perfectly in it. I would still say it's semi-rigid, but imo it's easily rigid enough to be put in a bag without worrying.
It seems to have a slot that I assume is there for a stylus if you buy and use one.
