Hi guys,

I have a Switch using 8.1.0 and SXOS 2.8. I want to play BotW again but I'm having issues with the game. If I install the game and the 1.6.0 update it works fine but, when installing the DLCs, the game crashes showing "The software was closed because an error occurred". That only happens if I install both DLCs. I tried installing them using SXOS, Goldenleaf and Lithium.

The best I could get is, using an .xci, have the DLCs installed but not recognized by the game.

Can someone help? I really would like to play the DLCs :(

I just tried with Xenoblade 2. Same steps: game then update then DLCs and it works. It only happens with BotW. I also tried with a different SD.

Can it have something to do with .nca files?

I have a vague memory of there being a bad Breath of the Wild DLC NSP somewhere on the internet, so I'm going to guess it's a bad NSP. Redownload the DLC from a different source.

Guys, I tried everything (also a different sd card) and still not working. Now it also happens with Divinity Original Sin 2 update 1.0.1. Game runs fine without the update and it crashes with it.

Download XCI custom BOTW with full dlc and patch 1.06 or create your own
Delete your BOTW game
Play with that Xci custom
If work, just install the game with that xci custom
same with other game for fix that problem

Sorry to keep on annoying with this topic. But I still cannot make it work. It happened the same with Divinity Original Sin 2 update 1.0.1 but, with update 1.0.4, it's working fine.

It might be that the files I use are not good as some of you said, but I tried like 6 or 7 different sources, all with same luck...

EDIT: I was downloading another game from a different source and I tried their BotW. It worked installing it with Tinfoil 6.1.0. Now i have both DLCs and 1.6.0 update working. Thanks anyway for your help, guys!
