    Hi,

I'm finding out that buying a 8GB Wii U was a big mistake... I can't even install SSB Update (I have physical copy)...
Anyway, does an external enclosure (with a SATA HDD inside) would work correctly with BoTW?

    Thanks.

As long as you can power the HD with a power plug or USB y cable you'll be fine

-Sorry for pushing this thread up-
Can I use a SATA to USB-Y cable (my HDD is kinda thick)? :)

Hi Samwix, yes, you can use SATA to USB-Y. I do this myself.

    Wherever my Pikachu is.
3.5" no, it'll need an enclosure because it takes a little extra power and a y-cable can't output it.
y-cables are generally for 2.5" HHD

    Ok thanks! :)

    I have a 2.5" HDD (even though it's thick)! ;)
