How about Call of Duty WaW DS? That games seems fun (the 10 minutes I played of it)

too bad rpg for DS is rather short..
i don't think any of those RPG could last you a month

however, you can try DQ9~!
the story is not long but the grinding part for secret map/boss is fun

by the way, it is in japanese

This is what the Essentials list is for. If you ask for something this vague, you're just going to get a copy of that.

If you want better advice, you need to give us a better idea of what kind of game you like -- what have you played and enjoyed? Were you thinking of any specific kind of RPG -- action-RPG, strategy-RPG, generic Dragon-Warrior / Final-Fantasy RPG, what? Are you more interested in a good plot, or in crawling through a huge dungeon and customizing characters? Etc, etc, etc.

Tacticslayer Ritna Guard Senki, simple SRPG with cute females and heavy customization (clothes from head to toe, hair, items, weapons, and spells), and you can practically recruit just about every character you encounter in the game as long as they are female and not a villain. To recruit every character will require at least 3-4 playthroughs because you can only have 15 characters on your team and some appear only after you beat the game once or twice. It's Japanese but it's manageable if you have experience with SRPGs such as Final Fantasy Tactics.
