Can't wait for this one- min kernel seems to be v2.0.14719.0 (aka the one after the last viable RGH one) and I am still halfway through RGHing my 360 (my hackjob 20 year old parallel cable flanked with maplins "lucky bag" grade hardware is producing flawless dump after flawless dump mind you- it was the DVD reflashing issues, self caused of course, that I did not need).

As for characters there does seem to be a difference this time, I think zero is probably going to be it primarily as that is how I played Mordecai last time.

My copy came in last night. I dont know if ill be playing much alone, since i have 6 or 7 friends all wanting to play with me lol. Im a commando with a focus on sniping.

So far its fun. I never played the first one and im only level 8 so i dont know (yet) about this game. I mean i certainly plan on playing more. If anyone wants to play the name is "ThatsGoodTennis" for now.

Preordered mine with 6 hours to spare. Sixty dubloons well spent, methinks. Though those mutinous dogs at Gearbox flubbed the Premier Club booty in the wee hours of the night. (steam) Fixed it in the morning though.

Me rig runs it on max with nary a hiccup. Already at level 14, buckos.

Not to give away any spoilers like a bilge-sucking land-lubber, but if ye be a fan of TMNT, ye might be grinnin like a fool during one of the sidequests.

Okay well the slot machine paid off. The price to gamble increases with each level you gain but it can give good rewards. The 777 is just another skin(or a skin you already have ), three bandit heads is a bomb. Eridium gives you 4 to 8 depending on which one you get(which can be used at the black market) and everything else gives you guns or money. I haven't gotten three vault icons or three Marcus but I'm guessing it will give extremely rare weapons.

Oh yeah and anyone stuck on the mission In Merium the first echo is near a small object that is not near the buildings. Just look north east. Took me 30 minutes to find it.

Hrrg im like 1 level away from being able to use the "LongBow" for my turret. So i can finally snipe from like 4 miles away.

I'm liking the game so far, the combat feels a lot more dangerous and punishing, and running out of ammo is a big problem early on. But a lot of the gunplay feels... chaotic. Which is good, but I always feel like a majority of my shots aren't connecting. The enemies, yes, are dodging a lot more, and the challenge is prevalent, but at the same time, sometimes it feels like what you're up against is too much. I'm taking quests at the recommended level which are punishing me (like the assassins one, which took a couple deaths).

Hopefully the game settles in a bit better. The assault weapons also seem a bit weaker, which makes pistols a lot more useful--so far most pistols are two or three times as powerful as my automatic weapons. I'm liking the difficulty boost, so maybe it's just trying to get used to a new way of playing Borderlands after three years of the first one.

Finally beat the game. Finished it at level 28. Was pretty difficult, had to run around a lot for the last boss. Until I found those islands that his moves can barely hit. Awesome game.

Took you this long? I beat it about a week ago at around level 32. The Boss was pretty hard, mostly because at one point I got stuck in some stupid spot and I was like...3 sniper clips away from being out of ammo when I finally killed him. Totally forgot I had some grenades though, so I managed to get out alright.

Yes. Indeed he is. My two bros and I are level 43 and we do very little damage to him. Even his tentacles are pretty difficult to destroy at that level.
My best gun so far is an orange pistol that shoots out like 7 rockets with extremely high damage (and since I'm using Zero I have a skill that makes it so I have a chance of shooting twice with one pull of the trigger).

Also, this thread is very interesting (talking about the three post-game Raid bosses)
