I have an old 3ds, running luma, and I installed bootntr.cia and the ntr cfw bin file from the github page for it. I'm using it specifically for cheat plugins, and from the instructions I read, I just need to run it, wait for it to load, hit home, then load a game. The issue I'm running into is when I load it, I can hit the X+Y menu and that works, but when I load a game, it closes ntr cfw, and the menu no longer comes up. Am I doing something wrong?

What game are you trying to play. If it's an extended memory mode game you need the mode3 version of bootntr.

I'm using the mode3 version, and the issue is when I load a game it closes ntr cfw, and the X+Y menu no longer pops up. Game is fire emblem awakening.

So with a mode 3 game you run bootntr and do not close the app. Instead you click the game you want to run and an option will pop up basically asking if you want to run the game instead. Say yes and the game will start then a few seconds in the screen should flash green. Once in the game press x+y or depending on your plugin try select.

yeah the issue is it doesn't give me the option to load the game without closing bootntr first

I attached a video of what it's doing, it's zipped up since it doesn't let me upload a video directly. That and it won't let me post hyperlinks, since I'm new.

I don't think it's an extended memory game so try using the normal (non-mode3) version.
