Hacking Bootmii Question

Hi guys,

I already have a soft modded wii with 4.2 update, I was just wondering if I am still able to install bootmii? As the tuts states do it as soon as possible after HBC installed.

Also once installed am I ok to delete bootmii folder from SD card once done? After making a back up on PC obviously.

4.2 makes no difference. get the latest hackmii installer and goto town. if you have a newer wii, you won't be able to install to boot2. this has not changed.

4.2 update updates your boot2 to v4, but again, this has no effect on whether bootmii can be installed.

run hackmii and see what you're able to install.

Thanks. Am I then just ok to delete it bootmii folder off SD card after backing up on nand and keys to PC?

you could, but why would you want to?

you can change the settings to have bootmii autoboot after x seconds (0 to boot directly). then it's all there when you need it.

without the bootmii folder, it'll still be there if you ever need it, but it won't do anything else.

i'd just change the timer to 0
