Priiloader gives me an error (error autbooting HBC, perhaps title not installed?) and I can't install Bootmii to boot2. Any other ways to boot directly to the HBC and avoid those pesky wiimotes? Thanks!

You'll need latest HBC, and latest Priiloader. You wont get an issue then.
Also, install BootMii@IOS if you have Priiloader - it's better than nothing at all.
