@WineAnt you seem to have trouble with your short term memory so let me remind you of the events of this thread:
You came here asking for help.
Help was given and repeated multiple times.
When I saw your struggle to understand the concept I politely recommended you read the noob guide which had been written by many experienced users on here so we don't have to repeat ourselves over and over again in constant new threads.
You didn't come asking for clarification on any point of the guide. You asked very basic questions that all of us know are covered well in the guide which led us to believe you didn't actually read it.
I'm gonna stop here and explain somethikng to you that you don't seem to understand.
1. This is not YOUR thread. It belongs to the community of gbatemp just like the guide does. I started the noob guide but I'm not the sole author. It has many experienced users contributing to it all the time.
2. Do you really think I care about "likes" and post counts? That's a juvenile mindset because in my age it doesn't put food on the table and it doesn't pay my bills. We do this because we like helping people. Period. There is no other gain from this.
When I suggested you read the community noob guide you called it a waste of your time but you don't seem to mind wasting anyone else's time by making us repeat ourselves. This is the mindset of a generation of spoiled brats. You want your hand held through every lesson in life but you don't want to "waste your time" by doing the research and learning it on your own.
When you were called out on it you naturally got defensive and attempted to lash back with name calling and judgement.
I'd slow down and take a breath, realise that we were trying to help you and adult enough to put out the olive branch. I'm willing to still help you with any questions but you need to listen better and don't be so quick to be offended.
Here's the mindset of the "offended"
Guy walks into a service shop and says he's having trouble with his Ford starter motor. The clerk gives advice to the customer but senses the customer is not following him. Clerk offers the customer a well written book FOR FREE! Customer slams book down on the counter in protest for being offended that the clerk would offer a book instead of spoon feeding him the answer.
This is exactly the story of this thread.
