I'm gathering that this has already been answered, but as there is loads of different responses I thought I would ask direct. I am looking to buy a brand new black Wii. Are they hackable? My brother has a hacked Wii which is a couple of years old. Works a treat. I don't want to get one if it can't be hacked.

    Any help will be great

    Thanks

Yes, they're hackable. All Wiis at this point are. But you won't be able to run burned games on it. Look into getting a USB hard drive, or an old DVD drive if you must have burned disks.

ANY WII CAN BE HACKED. You could have searched "black wii softmod" without the quotes

There is no way you can run burnt games? Does it have to be on a HDD?

The black Wiis have a newer DVD drive that blocks the exploit softmods use to run burned disks.

Depends how new it is, but if you get unlucky with the purchase and get one of the absolute newest ones, yeah.

Just run a USB Loader. Easy-to-use and better than burning.
