^ They're IS work on this being translated mostly items and swords in shops not really the story but yeah its a superb game. needs localising

Another horror game is The Haioku Byoutou, a sort of J Horror point and click, don't let that put you off. Also it's fairly easy to follow with no knowledge of Japanese.

I wouldn't say it's the best, but I found that since getting my (Japanese) DSi a few weeks ago, the game I have been playing the most is the DSiWare ころがしパズルカタマリダマシイ (korogashi pazuru katamari damashii). A kind of columns/tetris style game with a katamari twist. Cost me half of my free credits, and I was only in the shop to get the free web browser (but kept getting confused by an abundance of kanji, lol).
Aside from the browser, there was also another free gift, うごくメモちょう; a pretty sweet little notepad animation app, which can save to gif.

Not to be off topic*, but I was wondering if that's also a free gift in the US/EU DSi shop?

*(I couldn't find a thread discussing DSiWare specifically)
