(I had posted this in a differ forum but realized i put it in the wrong section lol, and it makes sense to post it here)

What's the best homebrew media player out there for the wii right now? I'm currently using mplayer, but I don't really like the interface too much (lol im picky) though I do like the compatibility. The DVD feature on it works ok, but theres no DVD menus and stuff...
Any reccomendations?

MplayerWii v.5. It's the best byfar. Can do pretty much anything GeeXBox can do, but better.
-Easy Interface
-No Loading
-No syncing required.
-EXCELLENT USB support.
-Wi-Fi - Watch Videos from PC,Stream,or a youtube account.
I love it! Blows Geexbox away!
this is MplayerWii, Not Mplayer.

Geexbox fully supports external hard drives even when they are formatted to NTFS. Mplayer does not read files from external hd, it doesn't even support some of my large flash drives.

If your playing files from sd or flash drive then MplayerWii is great. If you want to use an external hd then use geexbox.

Did you try wifi streaming? SMB? Did it work without stuttering?
I tried it and no video did work without heavy stuttering.

Is there a method to measure wifi speeds?
