I think the PSP is good, since he can borrow your DS. 9don't you have a DSi and a DSL?)

And the DSi plays only .aac... so the PSP is good for multimedia. Don't wait for PSP Go, it will probably be a rip-off.

Edit: Though if its about what the best handheld is, the DS fan in me says "DS all the way!"

Gameboy Color all the way! Some of the most classic games ever made and pioneered the handheld market.

It's a toss up between the DS and the PSP. I don't own a PSP though, but I think I'd take it over a DS nowadays. After September, however, my mind might change.

Oh yeah, DS Phat is 10x better than the DS Lite. It's so much sturdier and isn't a flimsy piece of crap that breaks after a couple of years. Sure, it's bulky and has glare issues (compared to a DSL whose backlight gets rid of glare, right?), but it'll last a lot longer.

PSP Go is a bit cramped and stupidly designed according to a hands on I've seen on youtube. PSP is good for multimedia as said before and its really easy to hack if you get an older model (1000 or 2000 series). DSi is a rip-off due to the higher clock, extra and SD card slot not being used for most things and the media player is rubbish (seriously what is it with Ninty's obsession with aac first the photo channel then the DSi)

PSP, it has a bigger screen and while he won't admit it, we dad's don't have your eyesight any more.

Plus we adults like non gaming uses and the PSP is likely more practical there.

The DS has more great games but isn't so good for emulation.

The PSP has good games but not very many and is a near ultimate emulation machine, excellent PSX support, good N64, above average SNES support (still no SA-1 games though), Wonderswan support, excellent Genesis, Sega CD, and 32X, and NES support. If you want good PSP games you most likely have to import in most instances.

DS wins for current games

PSP wins for emulation hands down.

well, i disagree with " good N64"
n64 emulation on psp sucks ass.

i dont feel that psp is really all that far behind when it comes to current games, there is far less shovelware if nothing else.

i vote psp2000, if you can find a hackable one in good shape.
