Homebrew Best GBA emulator?

I've tried quite a few emulators, but most of the GBA games I've tried won't work very well unless with frameskip, and they're usually better at playing GB/GBC games

mGBA is probably the best, but I'm not sure about how well it performs on regular 3DS (if that makes a difference).

They're all bad enough that I prefer VC injects to run it "native." Sucks but that's the situation.

AGB_FIRM (vc injects run on it) is your best bet at GBA emulation. Anything else just won't run at full speed.

mgba: Some games run fullspeed and this would have you fooled to thinking that everything else will run fullspeed. Then switch to a game like final fantasy V or VI, or Golden Sun. It won't be fullspeed and really is unplayable even on New 3DS. So you can only enjoy the games that do work good.

Virtual Console injection: Everything works here, and you can even import/export your saves from it via Godmode9 with a script. For old 3DS this is your only option for GBA.

what about games with weird savs like pokemon emerald?

I'm trying to get super Mario advance 4 with e reader levels to work and the save data is always corrupt.. can't get into a level...
