Homebrew Best gba emulator on old 3ds?

Like the title said what's the best gba emulator out there for a old 3ds for homebrew?

All the emulators for gba are trash on o3ds. Use the official gba vc. (if you don't have cfw set it up with 3ds.guide)

I thought mgba was good according some people. But i always use other things to play like VC injection (Which has some problems depending on game) or psp or another portbale.

Whenever I've used it on my o3ds it's been really slow - but obv some games run better than others.

For the games I wanted to play, anything but vc injection was pretty unplayable.

I was asking for a friend that doesn't have cfw just homebrew so which should I use?

Make him get cfw, any fw can upgrade now.

VC injection is still have problems. I think only games you need to worry about are ones that need Save patches to save properly or ones that is 8MB rom file size or higher. I tried super street fighter 2 Turbo Revival and it has bugs. The time records in the mini games mode are all set to random numbers and when i got to the last boss, the game froze.

To be honest emulation on 3DS besides VC games are bad in general. I just recommend a PSP since it does it well and has more time to develope, it sure makes impression if you never touched it over the 10 years psp was made and homebrew exist.

Getting cfw isn't a option but thanks for the help she has mGba and is having lag issues on harvest moon what settings would you recommend on mGba?

CFW is an option. With the new exploit safehax you can downgrade on all firmwares without dsiware or hardmod. Follow 3ds.guide

How is it not an option? All fws can get cfw now.

if CFW isnot a single option over the net why not offer to pay shipping and install A9LH+Luma yourself? otherwise the best option for on the go portable GBA Emulation is a Hand-me-down PSP or on thier Android phone/tablet/iPhone if they have such. mGBA for O3DS is kinda dead in teh water has lower collection of games thats playable vs GBA VC.

if they are that desperate for GBA Emulation a free download of VBA-M WX is quick easy and takes less than a min to config a gamepad.

not to be rude but thats the only options you face right now. (even btw since you dont want to even Touch Sound/fasthax, the "playable" games to mGBA w/o dynarec is Further limited to the simplest of games)

It is a option but not what is gonna happen as the friend maybe don't want to deal with all the possibility of things, Is not as easy as just saying do this. The persons mentallity and mental state is important to know that they are prepared for it and will do it right and if anything goes wrong is possibility. In this case to the OP is safer for them both to just use emulator. But emulators on 3DS are probably worst than Super card dstwo and that a NDS flash cart, so maybe buy that if she want saffe way. (even that isn' as good or perfect.)

Well according to the OP for mGBA, it says to use the latest nightly and set frameskip to 2. The OP on that thread has an O3DS. Not sure how it plays as I use VC injection for GBA and SNES.
