My sansa view 16 gb mp3 player is on life support after 3 wonderful years of service and I've decided to get an ipod touch to replace it. deciding factors to join the rest of the world, 32gbs of space, ipod games

I recently heard about a square enix ipod only rpg which is suppose to be great
please tell me which are the best games to get on your ipod touch and state regular or homebrew please

Chaos Rings is the Square Enix game. I only played a little bit of it but so far it's pretty much your average JRPG, but with only two party members at a time as opposed to four.

My recommended iPod Touch games are:
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars - iPod version is the definitive version of this game in my opinion.
N.O.V.A. - Halo clone, plays extremely well considering the graphics.
Dungeon Hunter - Action RPG hack-n-slash game, similar to Diablo.
Angry Birds - Simple physics based game, but it's the #1 app in the AppStore and rightfully so.
Labyrinth 2 - Tilt a ball through an obstacle course. Great use of the accelerometer.

These are all regular games; I haven't even tried any homebrew games yet.

Labyrinth 2 I play Labyrinth ds all the time totally worth the $10 walmart purchase

so far looking into jailbreaking I don't see any reason I would need to do so

Definitely-

Ninjatown: Trees of Doom
Plants vs Zombies
Fruit Ninja
Minigore

And check this out too- Espgaluda 2.

I jailbroke so i could multitask and change the themes. Even though the latest firmware allows you to multitask without jailbreaking it lagged like hell on doodle jump without anything else running...It's also under freeware so if something happens because of firmware they can't be responsible iirc. Also i got bored so i spent 9 hours implementing an android like theme, had widgets and things ^.^ but getting back to the point here's the must have homebrew apps

Infintiboard - lets you scroll vertically
SBsettings - Nice swipe to see settings, extreamely useful
tabs in safari
SSHing - Place files anywhere in your ipod directory (CUSTOM TAPTAP!) forgot how to enable this though >.<
there's also an app that lets you download straight from safari ^.^

or you can save yourself the bother of SSH and download iFunBox which is completely free and simple and has no need for wifi
While I agree that SFTP is not optimal for file transfers, that's not really the primary function of SSH. SSH let's you remotely run commands via any PC terminal, which is incredibly useful for everything from package installation to error correcting.

crash banditcoot 3d racing 2
gameloft action pack 3-in-1
sandstorm
earthworm jim
all-in-one gamebox (35 games total)
speedforge
eliminate pro (its only online and many people play)

Infinidock
