I'm glad its working out, it beats buying those overpriced pen attachments, plus it has that cool factor, as of today I've made 15 G2 styli for my buddies

what did you use to shave down the tip of the G2? Sandpaper, fingernail file or other?

I used p320 grit sandpaper to grind it down, and 600 grit to smooth and round out the tip and the stylus

Hi,
I made this one from a 1970's Parker pen and a spare Joytech stylus.

I hope the image works, I have not tried this before.

EDIT: It didn't work so here is a link instead.
still not working
just redirects to the homepage of photobucket

anyway I just use the default DS pen
though I might make one myself, I have a spare and a pilot pen with no ink left which was shown in the thread already

While looking for a g2 body around the house i found a pen like that around it looked nice and had a nice heavy feel to it but i could get the cover at the tip off and i didnt want to file it or anything. =( so i kept looking for a g2 and found one.

I would want to avoid anything with metal on it just in case it slips out of your hand and doesnt scratch the screen

In fact there is no need to file or do anything else at the tip. The hole at the tip is exactly the right size for the standard stylus.

This is a Parker Fibre Tip (their name for a felt tip). It used a variety of fat refills so was easy to mod.

.

My pen had these refills:

The stylus would've probably been able to slide in the pen but there was a spring restricting me to get through.

You have a ball pen.

Parker stopped making the Fibre pens years ago and now they don't make the refills either

.

The fibre refill is about twice the diameter and there is no spring at the tip end, so the NDS stylus just slides into the tip and pokes out as my not-very-good photo shows.
