I've been to many websites, and they have a selection of SO many different flashcarts, many i never knew existed.

So (obviously) i would like a Flashcart with the best price-to-quality ratio. I need it to do two things, one taking priority over the other.

1.My top priority, like many people, i would like to be able to play ds roms on it. Im assuming every flashcart has this capability, but i just wanted to make sure i got the point across

2. The ds homebrew scene is actually pretty big i learned, and i want to try out some of the best homebrew games. I dont need any emulators or much that can be done on a 9.2 3ds. Basically, if it can run portalDS that's good enough.

Lastly, it has to work on the 3ds in my sig, so 9.2 n3ds. I'm not sure what the superior flashcart is, i've just heard it used as a general term thrown around. Thanks for reading.

If you just want to load DS games on your 3DS then try R4I SDHC 3DS RTS. It cost like $10-20. Once you play DS games, you'll have to hack your 3DS again.

so it doesnt load homebrew? Im ok with that but what do you mean exactly by hack the 3ds again?

Not sure about homebrew. Meaning if you have Gateway exploit installed to play 3DS games, you'll have to run the bluecard to exploit it again.

You'll be able to run pretty much any homebrew on any card with HBmenu.nds. EOS and wood-based cards don't need it though if it matters to you.

I'd suggest googling why, however, as rockstar99 put it best,

Fast Menu
Better Build Quality
100% Compatibility
Can disable GBA icon on DSi
Can update through Wi-Fi
More Skins
No risk of bricking(can be restored)
Start menu is a nice addon
Faster upadtes
AKAIO
Wii Connectivity
Cheap

From my experience it's also very reliable.
The team hasn't updated Akaio since it ak2i was blocked on ds back when but at that point Akaio ran everything anyway.

it was blocked? Does it still work now on 9.2?

theres a homebrew/.cia i read about somewhere that lets you run blocked flashcarts... ill edit this with a link
Just post again so it notifies me. Also i might go for the r4i just for the sake of not being blocked and cheaper

Yes, it's been blocked since 4.3 on o3ds and always blocked on n3ds. However, if you hack your 3ds it can be unblocked. This is great since i hated using the blue card for ds games for some reason.

I'd recommend the R4i Gold or R4i SDHC, it's the simple play DS roms and homebrew that work on 9.2 firmware.

I would recommend the Supercard DSTWO (+) but that thing drains battery, and doesn't work with every DS game correctly (specifically certain romhacks like Another Super Mario 3D)
