By the way, anyone know what this means:

The extra features of the DSi are not likely to be available to this or any other cart in the near future

Does that mean you can't run DSi games on it, or does it only mean that it won't have access to the SD slot?

DSi games are the same as DS games (correct me if I'm wrong) so it should be perfectly fine. I think what they mean by that is that it can't access the camera or SD slot. Not that big a deal.

The DSi can certainly run DS games, but I assume that DSi games can access the camera and possibly the SD slot. Which means that some of them might be backwards compatible, but those that rely on the camera or SD slot wouldn't work on a DS. There may be DSi-only games that won't run on a DS at all.

Guess we'll find out when we start seeing some of these games!

EDIT: Getting back on topic, can someone tell me the differences between the Acekard2 and the 2.1 version? So far all I've heard about is hardware differences. I'll be getting the 2.1, but I'm just curious

the acekard 2.1 will say acekard 2 version 2.1 at the front... whereas the original version 2 won't?

Also the PCB color; Acekard 2 is green pcb, Acekard 2.1 is black pcb.

Acekard 2.1 has no fat errors and no chip sticking out. Generally more physically durable and less inclined to die on you.

There are actually 2 versions of the 2.1 (the green PCB and the black PCB). Both should work fine, but the green PCB is the same design as the 2.0 that was prone to cold soldering problems (the quality control has been improved with the 2.1 and they are more thoroughly tested at the factory so there should be no problems).

The 2.1 with the black PCB (sometimes called the 2.1+) is redesigned so it doesn't have the chip sticking out and isn't prone to hardware problems that the older design had. It is also supposed to have slightly better battery life.

That could be, but according to Acekard, the green PCB's that are labeled 2.1 are exactly the same as the old ones but have better quality control. I think they said that they were tested at the factory to make sure that they didn't have the problematic soldering that caused problems on earlier ones.

How can a DS cartrage take up less battery life? From my understanding, they all took up the same amount of battery. I know the expansion packs can drain battery, but I didn't know slot 1's had a huge difference. The reason I ask is because the 2.1 is supposed to take up less battery than the original.
