Batteryless save patch ? how to ?

hey all, im looking to try and reflash pokemon green from goomba to a gba repro cart i got from a 3rd party. im having trouble figuring out how to get the saving to work and im unsure of how to do it for the goomb side of things. is anyone familiar with doing battery less save patches ? thank you in advance.

im aware of this but i cant get the game to save to my gba repro cartidge (it was once a pokemon emerald repro)

nevermind my friend, it seems that i had an outdated version of the goomb.gba, thank you so much for the assistance
