how's the battery test going?

The AceKard battery tests have been completed and results have been posted in both this thread and the review itself.

If you are asking about the DS-Xtreme, battery tests are still being run. Results should be up tonight.

So far, still no results (besides from the AceKard)? You fell asleep as well?

I like to do some comparison between cards before buying one. Battery duration is a kinda important factor to me (I actually don't get why battery tests has never been done before, but good to know you guys are working on it).

DS-Xtreme battery life results:

LED's set to only green on at level 5 (left&right) others all at 0:
Test conditions:
- Fully charged Nintendo DS Lite
- DS-Xtreme firmware 1.02
- Metroid Prime Hunter intro looping
- Screens at full brightness (level 4)
- Sound at maximum volume

Battery life until automatic shut-off: 4 hours and 5 minutes

LED's all turned off:
Test conditions:

- Metroid Prime Hunter intro looping
- Screens at full brightness (level 4)

but I can assure you, it lasted *exactly* as long.
Exactly 4 hours and 5 minutes... quite disappointing if you ask me!

thanks guys we appreciate it

are you going to perform test on original cart? i think 4 hours on max brightness and sound is normal

in my opinion this should be the standard on battery test on the comparison chart, for the upcoming microninja and the ninjapass x9 as well

does not bother me to much because i only play it in the house but if i took it outside thats not that good but its not awfull its acceptable:D

If you're playing somewhere else, you probably wouldn't be looping MPH intro with a full brightness screen and sounds on max, especially the full brightness sucks lots of battery, also on original carts...

turn the volume down a bit, put on headphones. turn the brightness down a notch or two depending on outside light. you just increased the battery life of your DS lite by 90+ minutes.
