Your talking about the people who view themselves as "hardcore" gamers, the "I will support you blindly even with a garbage really expensive product" kind of person.
If this machine is really trying to go for the throat, the last hurrah, do or die, going out guns blazing, get rich or die trying moto then it has to have all the bells and whistles and perks of what is the now standard of a "Home Console" not just a 'game box'.

If one was to hear about the NX and it didnt have all of the above then why should they sell/trade their already purchased xb1/ps4 with internet subscirption for a machine that doesnt play movies, internet, or have psnplus/xboxgold perks? it makes no sense.

Nintendo does not care anymore.
they want to make their own thing.
if they need money they can milk the pokemon company, they returned proudly to the toys market, they can deliver millions users apps easily.
they already showed with wii if that if only numbers matter then they can destroy sony and Ms on selling units easily.
they have 15 millions users fan base they can trust and early adopters among geeks that will buy it only because it runs a mario game.

if PS4 and X1 numbers are really so good why it seems they gonna release a middle gen upgrades instead of usual slim versions?

PS4 and X1 owners could be really pissed if really they release middle gen upgraded consoles ...
just ask people if they will to spend another 400 dollars to upgrade ...

at least NX is a real new console and not an upgrade ...

really...trust me ...NOBODY cares about 4k bluray or internal hdd or listening mp3... nor casual gamers that use tablets and tv services for their media, neither hardcore gamers that per definition being hardcore gamers only cares about games ...

sony invested a huge amount of money in Cell , just to make you understand about 2 BILLION dollars on the cell fab only ...

Nintendo is not going internal hdd , as for storage they preferred using rom, there will likely again two skus , with basic rom for os and not much more and with a discrete amount , this time i will go fully external hdd and i think also the majority of gamers (casual and hardcore) since this is the most resonable choice.
NOBODY cares about using a externall hdd, 90% of consumer market for NX has no problem with using that .

1. Don't you mean 'you' don't care about 4k blu-ray/hdd/mp3..... not adding a hdd to the Wii U was a pretty big reason it ended a failure. MP3 support [also in games] was one of first things added to the PS4 firmware updates due to its popularity, and Xboners are still frothing at the mouth for the option of mp3 playback during gameplay on their console (I literally cannot play any of the Forza Motorsport games due to the fukkin godawful music on them) - 'nobody cares' you say.....*snigger*
As for 4k BR, well it's early days so difficult to tell - I suspect any of the rumoured PS4/XO upgrades would be primarily for 4k media support (realistically, an upgrade for the PS4 cannot possibly open us to the world of 4k gaming that the machine currently offers at 1080p - it's simply not possible and would require an entirely new machine)
2. That they did. Loads of money. If the boffins at Intel etc didn't opt for the multi core approach it might've been money well spent (the Cell architecture would arguably have been a better option for many processor tasks too) ....But your point is??
3. See 1. Sony might have a thing or two to say about this 'point' you're making, and the number of PS4's sold would back them up too...

I personally believe that even tho they are willing to give more juice and internet options for third party developers that they wont actually use the power themselves. I believe they will still use the 720p native resolution and have games that dont really have an epic scale of adventure, content, etc.etc. in it. Nintendo games are usually for casual gaming at its very highest if you really think about it.

The problem i have with the controller gimmick is that remote play has never really worked that great, so far... Anybody whom is an owner of the wiiu or has tried stuff like remote play with the psp and vita knows that it isnt very good either. The farther you go away from your console the grainier the screen gets, its almost like watching a ctr tv with an antennae that doesnt work properly.

i serioulsy doubt that nintendo has this issue fixed to the point of streaming really fluid, no grain and almost flawlessly although i hope that they somehow did with the amount of money they invested in it.

The only thing for sure is that Nintendo's nigh volume low quality approach will doom itself. We are almost at the point of shadow the hedgehog.
If the games was that easy, then yes. And in Nintendo rpgs you can pass at relatively low level with right strategy, which require some thinking and patience, something casual does not have the time for.

i blame a lot on Camelot Games too. Mario golf 3ds was pathetic, the gbc and gba ones were 1000x better. Mario tennis wiiu was complete garbage, why half ass these games and why would nintendo even give permission to release that junk.

most of their company icon games they had the nerve to sell it for $60. The only ones worthy of $60 i can think of at the momentn are pikman3, mario maker, yoshi ww ($50), xenoblade

games like splatoon or triforce heroes had no place on the full price list. Both games offline were terrible, triforce heroes online game died after the first two weeks... mario party 10 was was a complete downgrade as well

They usually place ads on youtube user channels who play those games but most of those view come from boring gamers who place 'guides' that arent guides or from just plain obnoxious people no one can watch after 2mins of the first video. They really dont get anywhere with their nintendo direct phony bologne nonsense. the only people who see them are owners of nintendo products and most of those people dont see them either.

Nintendo really has to just strap on a pair of steel toes and just absolutely hurricane kick me in the damn nadds with their console reveal, game presentation demos (they never do them anymore) and their tv on air ads (nonexistent also)

Hell if Luigis Mansion outshines Zelda NX... nothing to say...

Just think of the terrible games released in 2015, even pre e3, and how they treat devs outside of Japan. They are killing their own indie support because one of the major reasons they went on unsuccessful platforms like wii u is due to Nintendo's Legacy. Let's just hope Nintendo is not becoming another Sega or EA (or bandai for that matter).
But nintendo still need casual gamers who sware all the time and play shooter and also believe themselves to be superior. Or those who like playing more casual games which can be approached by good game design.
Now Nintendo have disappointed the hardcore gamers, I think Nintendo would screw up bad failing to appeal to broader audience. Or maybe they just need to cut connection to the rest of the world.

wii casual gamers are now only mobile.

Wiiu is a great media machine...

netflix
music streaming services...
anime streaming services
Among netflix devices Wiiu ranked always very well considering the user base.
you can search youtube videos on gamepad while watching full screen a video ...no other console can do this...
the off tv play is the best ever media functionality in a console ...it lets you play a game without disturbing your family watching a movie...

So if this "media addiction" is really so important wiiu should have been sold more millions only because of those features ...
it's a nonsense... gamers do not buy a console because it lacks youtube/netflix app...

problem here is that even a "standard" tv now is equipped with a apps package that let you enojy your media without any external box...
this is a field consoles are losing...

people do care about hardware specs its why the rumors on them are so important. playing with the gamepad past 8 ft made games grainey. The media options on the wiiu in comparison with the xb360/ps3 ran like gutter sewage. ps4 buyers expected the mp3 playback to be on there and were outraged leading to ps4 adding it on immediately.

Nobody wants to see a major game company go down. Nobody wants to buy a game console at same price without the same standards. Nintendo rarely rarely make price cuts unless its absolutely necessary.

$100 gamecube with mario kart dd and extra controller (only reason it sold well)
$250 wii, hundreds of dollars less than xb360, ps3 (only reason it sold well)
$160 LE pikachu 3ds xl on launch day with Luigi Mansion 2/Pokemon Dungeon, if system and one game was bought get a free game (only reason LM2 sold well)
$250 wiiu black edition with two game holiday bundle (only reason it sold well)(didnt beat out xb1/ps4 holiday bundle sales)

The last game i can think of that came out devils third $60 LOL.

If theyre really gonna try to make people buy this thing after first production, cuz hardcore spenders will buy it all out day one like wii/wiiu, it really has to be worth the price they ask for (probably $400+). Because once again they hesitate with pricecuts and bundles at anytime especially holidays unless theyre going down the hole

If this is true, nx will use gcn 4.0 and possibly zen, and polaris 11 should have 2.5 teraflop single precision(fp32)
And they run at 50w and come equiped with gddr5x, which double the bandwidth.
That was rather powerful, but only 480x will be able to run vr.

Sorry, that rumor was debunked. Maybe it is the actual spec of ps4k (I am desperate for attension). 2.5 teraflop would be rather good for the nx if Nintendo have a good launch this time.

Sometimes those are the only games being played and the console is used as an all-in-one media station the rest of the time.

Those annual sports/shooter games 'nobody' like generally sell about 40mil copies a year each. Thats about the total amount of ps4/xb1 sold already... Most of them bundled enticing buyers men, women, or teens. When you look at the total sales of games such as Mario, Smash, Pokemon, the numbers arent as good as a madden or fifa. Looking strictly at the meta game of any nintendo first party game in comparison to Madden 16 its not as good, simple as that. The content doesnt merit a full price tag most times.

You words are indeed truthful but I can still hate them for terrible business practice and crappy support. If I had the money right now I would purchase then disband ea and activision.
Pokken has little rpg element and does not have all the pokemons not to mention some of them are incapable of physical action like a humanoid.
