I'm banner bricked at 4.0 (USA), I have Drive Key installed at the moment, and tried everything to unbrick (this includes the Pink Fish and UUDv2 crap). To no avail. I've also set my Drive Key to autoboot and tried a DVD9 Brawl back up. I get the infamous "Please insert your Super Smash Bros. Brawl Game Disc" screen every time. My questions are as follow:

- Will/is there be/a exploit being worked on that would help this issue?
- If I were to send it for repairs to Nintendo (after removing the Drive Key, of course), would they do something to the ribbon cable that connects to the DVD from the Wii to ultimately ruin my chances of re-using my DriveKey? I say this because I sent the Wii in for repairs before I began to homebrew (lens had far too much residue) and I noticed they glued around the chip that the Wiikey would originally go on. Luckily, I had bought the Drive Key over the Wiikey in case this would happen. But since it's been a long time, I was wondering if they found a way to stop Drive Key users.

Much help appreciated.

theres is no way to stop modchips like drivekey from working, so rest assured.

it seems youve tried just about everything, so sending it in seems like your only option.

yea man, then after you can just mod your wii with my guide and your wii will be up to date

Couldnt you autoboot homebrew channel... and remove the bad channel.
and how would he do this?
smashstack seemed like his only hope but its not reading the disc.
i doubt he had the trucha bug in his system though.

That would help, but since most/all autoboot discs are trucha signed, it won't help.

Also, Drive Key's do not like autoboot discs. All the ones I've tried (the discs I set to autoboot myself), begin to spin at first then stop.

Something would have worked if I would've just stayed on 3.2(USA) before the brick since the Trucha bug was fixed after this.

drivekey will autoboot a disc if the disc is patched to autoboot and the drivekey settings is off.

what about using the homebrew forwarder ISOs being made for wbfs drives? there is one that launches the HBC if you have it installed on your wii. i would try burning that puppy and booting it.

Is this ISO by any means trucha signed? That's the main problem when it comes down to it.
