Hacking Backuploader on modded system

I have a wii with modchip. Still, just because I can, I tried the new version of the backuploader. It seems to work just fine. Can I use this to help test compatibility, or will that result in false positive results because all games run fine thanks to the modchip ?

when you use the backloader I don't think the chip even turns on its code

What mod chip do you have? Also did you have older version of back up launcher before installing this one?...If you did then did you have to clean prev ios's? Thanks

I have a YAOSM chip.
I haven't tried any previous loaders, this 0.3 is the first one. I run it through the HBC, so not the wad as a channel.
I installed the cIOS v6 from waninkoko's site, previously I had the v4 from his site which I uninstalled with the application from his sitr. I haven't installed DVDx.
