Try loading your legit Zelda from the disc channel... if your trying to load a REAL Wii game from the backup loader menu, that might be the problem!

I'm just excited to test out some of my games that weren't burned on Verbatim if the above statement is true, since
my Wii refuses to read off less than Verbatim disks without giving me a DRE.

Wow... the last 6 pages have absolutly NO information in them...

Please... for the love of all that is holy! Someone please answer the following questions...

1) What's all this about about beta 0.3 when beta 0.2 isn't even out yet?
2) Who the hell said 6x and got all the freakin kiddies to scream their pre-pubescent heads off about it? And can we kill that person now?
3) If I'm wrong about beta 0.2 being out, WTF can I download it at? I see NO LINKS

Can we get WiiGator to get in here and actually CONFIRM or DENY some stuff... all I've seen is "oh, it'll have this and this and this... and if you press 1+2 and dance on your cat, the WiiMote will service you orally!"... let's get some CONFIRMED information from the person actually writing it... not just retards guessing...

1. Beta 0.2 was, put it simply, an absolute failure. It had loads of bugs so we just skipped to 0.3.
2. No you cannot kill that person, he's cooler then you

3. Yes you are wrong about the beta 0.2 being out. We never released it.

i have said this last time but let me say it here again

1.You can not play backup patched games until he will be releaseing two loaders one for non patch games and one for patched games
2.The games are loading faster not 6x but it feels like they are reading at 6x, i misunderstood last time no they are not running at 6x but it will feel like
3.You will have to wait until wiigator released and yes there will be a new CIOS and new loader
4.He will implement the patched games to the loader
5.he will try to work to load games through system menu
6.The videos are not laggy,chopy,skipping

And yes games running alot faster i will try wifi soon in one of the games to see if it works fine

No way about the read at 6x...It has already been said that some coder used a moded wii to limit the DVD speed at 3x and that he didn't see any change in the loading times, except for some games like Metroid, and there was no lag anywhere...of course he was using an original WIIgame, so the lag problem is more a software problem than anothers...

So, what is the hard mod needed for the 6x read speeds?

I ask this, because there is no way any backup loader can run at 6x without modifying the drives firmware.

The flaw that was found to allow backups to run at all was left in the Wii when it was going to play DVD movies... and it was limited to 3x. The only way to read faster than 3x is to modify your consoles HARDWARE with a modchip, or DVD Drive firmware hack.

This post is directed at Cooler, since he so adamantly wants to say that there is 6x read speeds, and not just a better cashing of files.

So, please, Cooler, tell us the hard mod we need to do for our backup loaders to run at 6x like yours!

Probably the games most suitable for determining speed and compatibility are:
- Red Steel --> good for testing compatibility, since it's a very early Wii game and requires an early IOS to run.
- Metroid Prime: Corruption --> The load times at doors give a good indication of load speed.
- Wario Land: Shake It! --> The intro movie is pretty high quality and is pretty long, which makes it a good indicator for movie playback speed.
- Mario Kart Wii --> If online play works, it's a pretty good indication of speed.
