Hacking Backup Launcher and Backup Channel Wad

I have just installed the backup launcher gamma 0.3 with the Cios installer. I wanted to install the Backup Channel Wad because it would be nice to run games right off the wii menu. I was wondering am I able to just install the backup channel wad. Or am i suppose to do any other steps. Sorry if this seems like a dumb question but I am pretty new to the homebrew scene and everything. I am just paranoid of bricking me wii. SO any feedback would be apreciated.
