I just hacked my Wii U and want to backup saves. I have the original disc of Paper Mario Color Splash, installed it on my external HDD and ran it from there without the disc, it hung. Then started it again and worked, but the save was gone... Then I ran it again on the disc, save still gone. So, what is the best way? SaveMii is one I tried, but with Zelda TP the backup is too fast to be correct, do not want to crap that save up too lol.
So, what tool to use?
Nevermind, I figured it out. For some reason you first have to copy the game saves through the normal Wii U settings to the HDD and then install the game with disc2app. If you do it the other way around, the save is transfered, but the game is gone and reinstalling it through disc2app does work. So it saves some time doing it right
Too bad it doesn't work with SaveMii and copy it from NAND to USB, nothing changes and you start out with an empty save file.
