PS1/2 Backing up PS3 data?

ok i got a 60GB and i wanted to backup my data 2 questions

1 if i backup my data does that include copy protected sav files aswell,

and 2 can someone recommend an External hard drive

I'm not 100% sure if it will copy the protected save files, I believe the only way to get those off is by doing the system to system back up thing. Some refer to those saves as being "Married" to your console.

And for a good hard drive, I'd recommend simpletech. Can't go wrong with them

i hear if you backup the data and restore to the same system it will restore the copy protected savs but that is only talk i would liek some proof is the reason i posted,and thanks for the hard drive suggestion
