Is there any way to return back to the usb loader through home menu instead of returning to the wii menu and having to load ULGX again?

Also, can you rip backup games to HDD with ULGX without having a modchip?

    bye

There's no way to return to USB loader right now via the home menu. I want that too, its too annoying to switch games the way it is now...

Not sure about dumping backups, but you do likely need the chip. You might just try, because it won't hurt the wii, just fail if it it can't.

    Yes.

Also, the preloader thing might work, but you'll always boot into the USB loader. Loading the system menu would mean quitting the USB loader.

You can also just make channels for the games on your USB drive. That way you can launch them from the Wii menu without using any loader.

Apart from loading the menu with the USB loader with the home button, no, I don't think so.

This might be the setup for you:
Install a usb loader (forwarder) channel
Install preloader and set it as autoboot to crazy intro and reboot to preloader
in crazy intro, map the directional buttons to the forwarder channel (you'll need the ID)
Now, when your wii starts, preloader will start and boot crazy intro. It can display a custom image if you want. There, it will wait for user input. A boots to system menu, B to HBC. And the directional buttons will take you to the loader

you can create channels for your games on USB, you dont even need your SD card in your wii... so basically you can go back to the wii menu and all your games will be there... your menu will fill up quickly, but once you get too many games just delete the channels for games you dont play much anymore. just load them from USB loader if you ever want to play them

just search for it in gbatemp

I have an idea for this. Someone please tell me if it might work. When the USB Loader starts a game, it writes a small file to the SD Card right before starting the game. When you go back to the Wii Menu, Preloader checks for this file and if it sees it goes to the USB Loader and deletes the file. If it does not see it, it will autoboot the System Menu normally. That way you wouldn't have to do anything if you want to go to the System Menu.

You don't NEED cioscorp. Just run USB Loader 1.5, click add game and dump. Works fine.

No, it can't work because preloader runs BEFORE the system menu. Home RELOADS the system menu.

This is just a great thread. Finally when usb loader was released people took the only physical part of video games (other than the wiis great motion controls) which is getting up and changing the game. Now that the usb loader is out people are even lazier and they cant afford to press two extra buttons ??? COME ON PEOPLE.
