Long story short. I enabled one cheat in Zelda Skyward Sword and it deleted a bottle because the item took its place in the bag. Not a huge deal but I thought I take the opportunity to try to restore it by using EdiZon ram search. Before my attempt, I tested my knowledge by setting my rupees to 800. I walked over to buy something and after the transaction, the value changed to 800. So at least that worked.

I was able to narrow down the search results for the bottle address by having two in my bag, storing one, then zero. That gave me two addresses. I increased that values but the count didn't change. I know that sometimes cheats like this require a change in value of something for hack is triggered but in this case, A) I don't know how to properly trigger that for this item other than adding/removing from my bag or B) I'm not doing something right or C) It just won't work with bottles.

Any tips on how to figure this out?

Edit: Or better yet, can someone point me to an advanced guide. Something other than how to change coin values or similar. This game has cheats for things like adding shields, swords, fast walking, moon jump but I haven't found a guide that talks about modding things like that. As a programmer by trade, I think it would be fun to play around with such things.
