does someone know if the japanese .sav file for Arkanoid still works with this release?

No idea, but your friend code saved on japanese save file wouldn't work with this version. If you want to play match online or with friends, you'll have to start over.

This is what I heard. So I suggest make two copies of the save file and keep one safe and play with the another copy of save file and see what happens.

The Jap Arkanoid save isnt compatible with the US version, but the Jap Space invaders Extreme save is compatible with the US version.

Arkanoid DS plays and looks worse than the 20 years old arcade game, its a 30fps disgrace of the highest order.

I just played a Wi-Fi match against someone,and at the top screen he barely did anything,and I cleared everything and suddenly something exploded and I lost,huh? What the hell are you supposed to do in this?

Also,the menu is VERY annoying..

Arachnoid is garbage...I gave it a chance but its just horrible they definitely BS'd that. Also I wouldn't expect the saved to work considering they are different games. There are more features for each game with the North American release. Space Invaders Extreme is AMAZING. Online isn't amazing but definitely adds to playability. Also I believe if sum1 with a DS has the game close by you can do co-op.

You got any idea how damn stupid and elitist that sounds? This isn't some FPS game where 30fps can be an issue when you need to be twitchy fast spinning around to pop some ass up on a catwalk...it's just a game of stick ball into a brick.

I played this both games, arkanoid is boring but SIE is simply awesome.

Arkanoid is balls in the face. Space Invaders Extreme has far better visuals and sound, it's absolutely sex.
