Are you Chinese?

For some reason, right now I'm thinking about when people are talking to me and then they say like, "Oh, are you Chinese?"

Then I have to say something like, "Oh, no, I'm actually Filipino. It's ok though a lot of people say that." All the while I'm thinking 'Oh god, seriously! In no way do I look Chinese! These eyes may be a tiny bit slanty but I don't look Chinese at all! I've met a lot of Chinese people, and I don't look like any of them.'

That was a bit of a rant. Anyways, I went to school for orientation today. My mom is restricting me from hugging my classmates. And there's this one girl, for some reason she always has to hug me. Lol.

But really there is a noticable difference btw filipino and chinese.

Jap is a racial term, better to type more than being racist. Why no hugs is it becuase of your religion or something or your mom thinks it leads to trouble? I've only meet two Filopino people and they looked japaneese to me not chinesse weired. Anyway I haven't hugged anyone yet I don't say hello like that to my friends.

I can speak chinese but I'm vietnamese. I'm mistakened for chinese too. Are you pale? A lot of pale asians are mistakened for chinese. The philipinos here are usually quite tanned.

That's the way it is. A lot of Chinese people I know can't tell the difference between Indians and Blacks. Don't worry too much about it.
