I heard all black PSP may have the new motherboard but i read that it's the black only that's being focused. I also heard that the pink one has unhackable one but i dont know what this person did to checked if it's a TA-088V3.
That's me... I used that special app that tells you the mo-bo#.
It depends when they made it... there are pink ones from the early days that are hackable, and ones made later that are not.. the same goes for all colors... It is not as easy as picking one by the color (unless it was a special limited edition) -- but the Blume color series in Asia was not limited...
i saw 5.03 colored PSP 2000s here in Toy Kingdom and they are Php 11,000. there are PSP2000 that are priced Php 17,000. Overkill overpriced by Toy Kingdom. I think the Php 17k are hackable. PSP 3000 are Php 11k
I'd just buy a 1000 from craigslist or something. Most people are bored with them now and there are tons available.
A used one is fine since usually the only that that screws up on a PSP would be the UMD drive, and you won't be using that anyway. Just check for dead pixels before you buy it and you should be good to go.
I chose a hackable PSP 2000 and looked at used/second hand units. I kinda like the 3000 but there are two things that blocked me - 1) NO PERMANENT CUSTOM FIRMWARE and 2) !@#$% ANNOYING SCREEN DEFECTS.
I looked at the special edition first before going for an ordinary colors. I dont like the black one since it's too common.
From the past, when there there's TA-088v2 below, I looked at the red one. At present, I boght a used God of War Red version PSP2000. wow! Dream Come True.
