Arcade stick as a controller

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong sub - just not sure where it should go. I picked up an off-brand Pandora's Box arcade stick. There's two USB ports at the back that accept usb controllers that show up when using the built in emulator (FOR 3P & 4P games) but I've been unable to get the device to show up as a controller on any other device. I've tried pc, nvidia shield and a modded ps3. Tried different cables no joy. Any idea where to start? Thanks

If that model supports it you need the USB A-A cable it came with and it has to be plugged into the Main USB port, usually labeled as U1 or Main or Master. The other port won't work. Also, your Pandora's Box should be off/unplugged otherwise.
