I would like to play some arcade games from around 1990-1996. Is it possible in any retroarch emulator nowadays? Can I play straight from a CIA or 3dsx? Or do I have to mess with all these txt-files, booting from monster hunter etc?

Im on a n3ds 9.2.

Can anyone instruct me how to do? :)

When I try to boot from fba, mame2000, mame 2003 I get this: failed to start audio driver. Any clue?

Then I get kicked out from the cfw. But I have dsp and the csnd installed.

More likely than not you don't have the correct romset. MAME 2000 needs MAME .37b5 roms, MAME 2003 needs MAME 0.78 roms, and FBA needs whichever that particular FBA version's romset is, or at least something close to recent.

Thanx a LOT for that answer :)

That should be in the first post in the Retroarch thread!
