ROM Hack APM MHX/MHGen Save Editor

I'm trying to use the editor but when i open my extdata and go in to my item box, the editor only show some items in Box 1, the rest is empty, Box and slots.
And when i add some item and go to the game, the item dont shows up even if i press X.

do you have multiple saves of your mhgen game? as it always brings up save data 1. and you can then swap from settings to 2nd or 3rd save.


And do you EXPORT every single time? and not use the same data from the very first time?

No, i dont have any other save, and yes, i export everytime i try to edit something, and use the edited one to import back

it just sounds like you are on a different save, if i pick my explored data its all fine. you must do a mistake somewhere.

why is my HR rank rollback to hr7 when i use this editor? and when im importing the save at first it shows that hr that i edit but when i quit the came and go to the title menu of mhgen it go back again in hr7

it just sounds like you are on a different save, if i pick my explored data its all fine. you must do a mistake somewhere.

Yeah, sounds like. But the thing is, i cant see some items from box (adquired in-game items). In that case, i dont think i'm doing something wrong.

Your HR is based of the Hunter Rank Points. --> once you do a quest, you should achieve the HR according to your points.

The HR, as in ranks editing them only wont work. as it will rollback to your current hunter points.

Weird im already hr95 then it rollback to hr 7.

It sounds like you've imported an older save... did you export before editing files?

I mean the way the system works is that.

You have your 3ds files here.

You can then export your 3ds files for a whole new file.

You can then edit your new file,

and then import your edited file to --> 3ds files.

If you ever edit again, and simple edit your files without eksporting again. then you will only have your last eskported save data. as in , everything you did would not be updated ingame, so if you only imported again, you might have an older save back from where you didn't kill nakarkos.

im certain that you did a mistake like this, because Isharingan has tried to go below 8 hunter rank, and he couldn't the lowest hr you can get is 8 after nakarkos is dead.

So yes beat up nakarkos and dont forget to Export in future. before editing files.

No. I didnt import the old file since i delete first all my exdata and export the exdata of mhgen. I trying to to edit the HR rank to 100. Yes im already 95 and im just trying to experiment it but it didnt go back to hr 95. My mistake is also i forgit to make an extra exdata.

I don't know if this is still being developed, but I'd love to be able to export looks information. I can swap my and my wife's character on the same file that way.

Or maybe a "clone slot 1 to slot 3" type option per page, or for every page sans the first?

You can already do this ?. when you run the tool, the first page is about the hunter information, just type down your hunters notes on a wordpad

put your wifes on, and copy paste + overwrite hers to yours liking, visa versa?

When I wanted to re-do my save i created a save file 2, with the options i wanted, and simple copy pastes save data 2 to save data 1.

You could just make one yourself, using the Palico Generator to help you find out what's legit and copying those skills/supports over to the save editor.

Is it possible to have a charm exporter list option compatible with Athena's Armor Set Search? Your save editor from 4U had this option and it was an extremely useful feature.

The Palico you made has an illegal move/skill. When the game sees that you're trying to cheat, it says "lolnope" and kills all your skills during quests. That's what the Palico Generator is for. It helps you to see what is legitimate on a palico and what is not.

Speaking of illegal palicoes, what would be the best way of going about increasing my palicoes' level without the game screaming illegal at me? I'm pretty sure my cats are all underlevelled because of switching half-way through.
