Any way to do splitscreen multiplayer on Minecraft Java with 2 controllers?

I know I can use midnight controls for the controller but it can't do two players.

There is no splitscreen. This build of the game was always designed as a keyboard-based game, so it only expects one person to be playing like that. You can however play with others if you want to open another instance of the game on a different account.

I don't own a deck, but it would probably have to be in desktop mode. The game just isnt designed for splitscreen. It's designed for 2 devices or more.
