terraria is amazing and only 10 bucks. if you wait for a sale , you can get it for 5. it has loads of content(100+ hours of vanila singleplayer for me), has many mods that add tons of new stuff. it ahs multiplayer which works with mods, and its getting a big update sometime before the end of the year(as long as its not delayed)

I played a demake of quake champions in one of the open source doom remakes online it was really fun and free! If you have morrowind getting openmw and playing tes3mp can be really fun!

Steam has a huge backlog of stuff for super cheap.
last gen console gaming is also peanuts and a lot of classics there.
