tried using wine to open delta patcher lite and nothing happens. no windows open and no error messages. found a way to open it using CrossOver but I'm getting an error message. anyone know how to fix this or if theres any alternatives for mac? did I just install wine incorrectly?

As ever "get a real computer" is sound advice, however the various underlying forms of xdelta (there are two*, possibly three, and various hackers at various points used both) should have mac builds

Seems to be a new multi patch tool out as well

* https://www.evanjones.ca/software/xdelta-win32.html is the first one people used, and sometimes continued to use.
After being somewhat dormant then xdelta saw new development and a new site in
http://xdelta.org/
This was not so compatible with the earlier one and thus we see issues to this day.
Since then we had the 3.0 line as well which some reckon is not always backwards and forwards compatible with 2.0 (which is what some of the tools will use) but I have not confirmed this.

Xdelta has always been open source so you can always roll your own too
