Hardware another dilemma with system transfer

i want to simply swap my SD card from my O3DS to my N3DS XL after a system transfer (since it's just a micro sd in an adapter) but there doesn't seem to be any options as an sd card is required for both forms of transfer and i REALLY hate the idea of transferring content from a 32gb card to a 4gb card
